Wide applications of tapioca starch production line:
Technical process: Fresh cassava tubers that harvested in 2 days→tapioca dry cleaning and wet washing→ crushing→ fiber and fine fiber separation→desanding→starch concentration and refining→starch slurry dewatering→drying→sieving→packaging.
Main process of tapioca starch production Main equipments and its function in tapioca starch production line:
1) Tapioca dry cleaning and wet washing in tapioca starch production line: In the cleaning parts, we adopts two stages-dry cleaning and wet washing. Firstly we use dry sieve machine to remove sand, dirts, weeds, stones and other impurities that attached on raw cassava tubers. At the same time some cuticular layers of tubers can be removed. Then paddle washing machine will be used to wash raw tubers completely. With water flow and paddle rotation, cassava tubers are cleaned well and most peels are removed. After that tapioca tubers are ready to next crushing part.
2) Crushing section in tapioca starch production line: In crushing section of tapioca starch production line, cutting machine and rasper are the main equipment. Firstly cutting machine is used for cutting tubers into small pieces. This is the pre-crushing of tubers and can reduce working load for the rasper machine. Then rasper machine can break small pieces of cassava as much as possible to release bound starch and increase starch extraction rate. Normally demagnetizer device is installed between cutting machine and rasper to remove metals, avoiding metals falling down and causing damage to rasper machine.
3) Fiber and fine fiber separation in tapioca starch production line: Centrifuge sieve is key equipment that used in starch production line to separate fiber and other solid impuriteis. Horizontal type centrifuge sieve has higher rotation speed and can separate impurities more thoroughly. Considering that fine fiber still exist in the starch slurry, fine fiber sieve will be applied. Fine fiber sieve machine has smaller mesh sieve and can separate finer fibers.
Starch concentration and purification 4) Desanding process in tapioca starch production line:
De-sander machine is used to remove fine sand that exits in starch slurry. It is stainless steel made and usually installed before hydrocyclone station.
5) Starch concentration and refinning:
Stainless steel hydroclone station is the equipment that used for starch slurry concentration and refinning. In this process, liquid impurities such as proteins, fats will be separated. This machine also has concentration function that can make starch slurry achieve certain density that required for following dewater process.

6) Dewatering and drying process in tapioca starch production line:
Because of its special characteristics of tapioca starch, in dewatering process we applies peeler centrifuge. Starch slurry goes into the dewatering machine and comes out as wet powder with moisture content about 40%. Following the dewater process is drying section. In this section flash dryer is furnished. Flash dryer machine adopts negative pressure and can dry starch in very short time. Starch powder is dried in seconds and comes out with moisture around 12-14%. Automatic control system can be matched to ensure stable quality of finished starch.
