How is tapioca flour made?
Cassava flour and tapioca flour are not the same thing. Many will sometimes interchange the terms cassava flour and tapioca flour there are definitely differences between the two. Tapioca is a starch extracted from the cassava root. This happens using a process of washing and pulping. The wet pulp is then squeezed to extract a starchy liquid. Once all the water evaporates the flour is left over is the tapioca flour. Then how is tapioca flour made with machines, the next will describe the process about how tapioca flour is made.
Main tapioca flour making machine
The whole process mainly includes tapioca washing and cleaning, tapioca cutting, tapioca crushing, tapioca extraction, tapioca flour dewatering, tapioca flour drying, tapioca flour sieving and packing.
Step 1: tapioca washing and cleaning
Tapioca dry sieve and paddle washing machine will be used in the section. The purpose of cleaning is to remove sand and peels of the raw material. Then tapioca will fed into paddle washing machine, but tapioca feed must be uniform. If too many tapioca are in the paddle washing machine, there is no space, tapioca can not roll, which can not achieve the purpose of peeling and cleaning. Too little is not up to production. About the question that how tapioca flour is made, cleaning tapioca is the first step.

Step 2: tapioca cutting
Tapioca cutting machine will be used in this step. The tapioca is too long. If tapioca can not be cutting into pieces, then the next tapioca raser will bear heavy load, the service life of raser will be shorten. For another, the machine can contribute to the high extraction rate of tapioca flour.
Step 3: tapioca crushing
After tapioca cutting, then tapioca will be crushed by tapioca rasper. In the section, rasper can crush tapioca with high efficiency. And tapioca rasper has modern design, compact structure, high speed, high rasping coefficient and high extraction rate. In order to solve how is tapioca flour made, tapioca rasper is a key part.

Step 4: tapioca flour extraction
In the part, centrifuge sieve, fine fiber sieve, disc separator and hydrocyclone will be used. First, tapioca centrifuge sieve and fine fiber sieve will separate some fiber, impurities and other things. Next, disc separator will be used for removing protein and cell liquid out of tapioca slurry. The machine can also concentrate and purify tapioca slurry. Finally, Hydrocyclone station is used to remove fiber, protein and cell sap out tapioca milk. The system of the machine contains concentrating, recovering and washing which can guarantee a purer starch milk. Tapioca extraction is the most complicated part about how is tapioca flour is made.

Step 5: tapioca flour dewatering
Peeler centrifuge will be used in this section. The machine adopts continuous operation and intermittent discharging. The machine is an automatic machine which can increase production capacity by 50% and decrease moisture content to 36.5%.
Step 6: tapioca flour drying
The air-flow flash dryer uses coal as fuel, and hot air flows into the heat exchanger to make the clean air from the other end into the heat exchanger into dry hot air. The dry air is fed into the drying tower and mixed with wet tapioca flour with moisture content less than 40%, and the moisture is vaporized in a period of 2-3 seconds. And the tapioca flour discharges through a separator. The drying tower adopts positive and negative pressure two-stage drying, the wet air is discharged from the first stage, and the second stage exhausts the air with higher temperature, which is reused into the feed tube. Compared with single stage drying, the energy can be saved 20-40%.
Welcome to DOING
All in all, these above can better answer the question how is tapioca flour made. And those machines mentioned all made by Henan Doing mechanical equipment company in China combined with advanced technology.
